Responsibilities
- Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on requirements for system-level optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs to inform high-level systems trades.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) to enhance design elegance and reduce complexity.
- Establish efficient product lifecycle processes from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing to validate design criteria.
- Manage product delivery timelines from conception to launch.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of professional experience in mechanical/electromechanical design.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (NX preferred) and understanding of GD&T.
- Demonstrated understanding of structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
