Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to drive requirements for testing complex spaceflight hardware.
- Design fixtures, mechanisms, fluid systems, and other hardware for testing satellite systems.
- Create detailed documentation, including engineering drawings and schematics.
- Utilize hand calculations and FEA tools for design validation.
- Manage multiple high-priority projects effectively.
- Take ownership of all project phases from concept to operation.
- Collaborate with technicians to build and operate test systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, physics, or other engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of engineering design experience (internships and projects included).
- Experience in a laboratory or industrial setting with attention to safety.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machining experience.
- Experience with optical and opto-mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with Siemens NX and Teamcenter CAD/PDM systems.
- Basic understanding of industrial electrical and control systems.
