Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of mechanical spacecraft systems.
- Perform analysis on designs including hand calculations, FEA, and CAD.
- Lead design reviews with suppliers and customers.
- Manage project delivery timelines from design through production, launch, and recovery.
- Exemplify technical excellence and accountability for work.
- Collaborate with project teams and demonstrate leadership.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics.
- 1+ years experience with CAD and FEA software.
- Hands-on experience in the design and development of mechanical components or systems.
- Leadership experience on an engineering or project team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to use data for decision-making.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed.
- Must meet ITAR requirements for employment.
