Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of mechanical spacecraft systems
- Perform analysis on designs including hand calculations, FEA, and CAD
- Lead design reviews with suppliers and customers
- Manage project delivery timeline from design through production and recovery
- Ensure technical excellence and accountability for work
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
- 1+ years experience with CAD and FEA software (internship experience applicable)
- 1+ years hands-on experience designing mechanical components or systems
- Leadership experience on an engineering or project team (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed
