Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of mechanical spacecraft systems
- Perform analysis on designs using hand calculations, FEA, and CAD
- Lead design reviews with suppliers and customers
- Manage project delivery timelines from design through production and recovery
- Exemplify technical excellence and accountability for work
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
- 1+ years experience with CAD and FEA software packages
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in design and development of mechanical components or systems
- Leadership experience on an engineering or project team preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident to comply with ITAR requirements
