Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of mechanical spacecraft systems
- Perform analysis on designs including hand calculations, FEA, and CAD
- Lead design reviews with suppliers and customers
- Manage project delivery timelines from design through production and launch
- Ensure technical excellence and accountability for work
- Collaborate with engineering teams on high-performance vehicle components
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
- 1+ years experience with CAD and FEA software packages
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development
- Leadership experience on engineering or project teams (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed
