Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, develop, and ensure flight readiness of valves, regulators, and actuators.
- Support and document component anomalies at build, test, or launch sites.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on investigations related to valves and vehicles.
- Generate detailed drawings and coordinate valve manufacturing with production.
- Maintain component specifications and develop qualification test plans.
- Lead root cause investigations and redesigns to improve reliability or production rate.
- Certify hardware for crewed flight and communicate analysis and test results.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
- 1+ years of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or 1+ years in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Experience with mechanical systems design, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of fluid systems and solid mechanics principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for problem-solving.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and test instrumentation.
