Responsibilities
- Full ownership of primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, and/or fluid systems for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles.
- Use hand calculations, finite element analyses (FEA), and CAD to ensure hardware meets or exceeds requirements.
- Lead design reviews and hardware qualifications.
- Serve as the technical interface with suppliers and customers.
- Own hardware delivery timeline and success through inception, design, assembly, launch, and re-use.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD or FEA software.
- 1+ years of hands-on hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, and/or testing.
- Preferred: Master's degree in engineering and experience with NX/Teamcenter.
- Preferred: Experience with commercial FEA or multiphysics simulation packages.
- Willingness to work longer hours and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to travel for hardware tests and launches.
