Responsibilities
- Full ownership of primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, and/or fluid systems for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles.
- Use hand calculations, finite element analyses (FEA), and CAD to ensure hardware meets requirements.
- Lead design reviews and hardware qualifications.
- Serve as the technical interface with suppliers and customers.
- Manage the hardware delivery timeline through all phases from inception to re-use.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of hands-on hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, or testing.
- Preferred experience with NX/Teamcenter and commercial FEA or multiphysics simulation packages.
- Demonstrated ability to own hardware or systems within an integrated engineering team.
- Analytical/scientific programming experience (Python, Matlab, etc.).
- Willingness to work longer hours and travel for hardware tests and launches.
