Manufacturing Engineer (Fluid Systems)

The Manufacturing Engineer for Fluid Systems at SpaceX is responsible for manufacturing high-volume fluid systems hardware for launch vehicles and spacecraft, driving process improvements, and collaborating with development and production teams.

• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations for quality issues.
• Apply process improvement methodologies to reduce manufacturing build hours and quality issues.
• Manage projects and execute to tight timelines while communicating with stakeholders.
• Train technicians and engineers on best practices in operations.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements with design engineers.
• Implement tooling and test solutions for high-quality hardware builds.
• Identify and execute upgrades for capital equipment and production processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical hardware design and hands-on manufacturing.
• Experience with high volume manufacturing and quality tools.
• Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques and equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Working knowledge of Python or other coding languages.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
