Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink satellite systems.
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand design intent.
- Support procurement in sourcing parts by assessing supplier processes and quality systems.
- Define supplier technical and quality requirements for new product introduction and production.
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues and act as a liaison between various teams.
- Implement the production part approval process (PPAP) with suppliers.
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and drive improvement plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, or design engineering.
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain preferred.
- Manufacturing experience in areas such as CNC, Injection Molding, or Castings.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques, GDT principles, and metrology tools.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel up to 25-50% of the work week.
