Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in Starlink satellite systems.
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand design intent.
- Support procurement by assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Create technical and quality requirements for suppliers based on customer and program needs.
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues and act as a liaison among various teams.
- Analyze supplier quality metrics to identify trends and drive improvement plans.
- Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain preferred.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the work week.
