Responsibilities
- Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in satellite systems.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to understand design intent.
- Support procurement by assessing supplier processes and quality systems.
- Create and define technical and quality requirements for suppliers.
- Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis.
- Analyze supplier quality and delivery metrics to identify trends and performance gaps.
- Conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and capabilities.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain preferred.
- Manufacturing experience in CNC, Injection Molding, or similar areas.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods (e.g., Six Sigma).
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
