Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for multiple launch pad mechanical systems and structures.
- Utilize FEM software and hand calculations for design and issue disposition.
- Direct a technician workforce for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development of functional automation for systems.
- Identify and implement upgrades to launch pad hardware and procedures.
- Develop and perform post-launch data review for respective systems.
- Present certification packages and engineering data to U.S. government agencies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience working with mechanical hardware.
- Experience with hazardous systems and instrumentation components.
- Proficiency in CAD software and finite element analysis software.
- Familiarity with programming languages for data review.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and travel as needed.
