Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for multiple launch pad mechanical systems and structures.
- Utilize FEM software and hand calculations for design and issue disposition.
- Direct a skilled technician workforce for troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Contribute to the development of functional automation for the systems.
- Implement upgrades to launch pad hardware, software, and procedures.
- Develop and perform post-launch data reviews for respective systems.
- Present certification packages and engineering data to U.S. government agencies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical hardware.
- Experience with hazardous systems and instrumentation components.
- Proficiency in CAD software and FEM analysis tools.
- Knowledge of programming languages for data review and analysis.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
