Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and build systems for rocket launches and testing.
- Own projects from design reviews to equipment procurement and construction.
- Design modular hardware for future launch sites.
- Apply interdisciplinary engineering skills in fluid and thermal analysis, structural engineering, and cost/schedule optimization.
- Collaborate with technicians to build designs and address real-world problems.
- Maintain communication with the launch operations team to adapt plans as needed.
- Activate and troubleshoot equipment to meet design objectives and enhance maintenance strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of hands-on build or design experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in stressful situations.
- Experience with high pressure and cryogenic fluid systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD and ability to verify designs with calculations.
- Willingness to work extended hours and in extreme outdoor conditions.
