Electrical Engineer, Gateway Ground Stations (Starlink)

The Electrical Engineer for Gateway Ground Stations at SpaceX will work on designing, building, and deploying ground station antennas for the Starlink satellite constellation, aiming to enhance global connectivity.

• Diagnose performance and reliability issues through telemetry, testing, and hands-on debugging.
• Develop fixes, validate them in the field, and train field specialists on procedures.
• Build software solutions to monitor gateway and site health and improve hardware autonomy.
• Collaborate across teams to eliminate failure modes through hardware, software, and operations changes.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar STEM discipline.
• 1+ year of experience in hardware-focused controls, electrical, or software engineering projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently as well as in a team.
• Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of mechanical or electrical hardware.
• Bonus skills: experience with closed loop control systems, PCBAs, quality tools, programming languages (Python, C, C++, SQL), and business reporting software.
