Electrical Design Engineer, (Avionics)

The Electrical Design Engineer (Avionics) role at SpaceX involves engaging in the entire life cycle of electronic hardware development, from design to production and launch, focusing on reliability and manufacturing.

• Design new hardware and modify existing PCBAs for reliability and manufacturability.
• Take ownership of avionics hardware across all product life cycle areas.
• Improve electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for better reliability.
• Perform root cause investigations on unit behavior and mitigate risks.
• Provide engineering justification to resolve production issues.
• Design test setups and execute hardware validation through various testing methods.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in electronics hardware design.
• 1+ years of experience with electrical test equipment.
• Ability to design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Knowledge of digital communications interfaces and common circuit blocks.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
