Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop designs for Starship's turbomachinery.
- Design, build, and test turbopumps for the propulsion system.
- Perform structural analysis on components and assemblies, including thermal deformation.
- Train teammates to support product ownership and decision-making under pressure.
- Interface with production teams to ensure successful design translation into rockets.
- Maintain a positive attitude in technical and non-technical challenges.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and structural analysis.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with ANSYS for structural analysis is a plus.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and structural design in demanding environments.
- Willingness to work extended hours and in various environments.
