Automation & Controls Engineer, Launch Pad (Starship)

The role is for an Automation & Controls Engineer focused on developing and building launch systems for SpaceX's Starship, with an emphasis on electrical control systems for launch pads.

• Architect, design, and integrate control systems for Starship launch pads.
• Design industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A.
• Design control and data acquisition systems and electrical schematics.
• Work with other disciplines to interface control systems with high power and communication equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug PLC code for control systems.
• Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and installations.
• Participate in equipment conceptual development and manage project schedules and budgets.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of experience in design and commissioning of control systems (internship qualifies).
• Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical schematic CAD and mechanical design software.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI/SCADA programming.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL508A codes and experience in hazardous area installations.
