Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal hardware design, analysis, and testing (e.g., MLI blankets, heaters, heat pipes).
- Collaborate with mechanical teams to develop thermal control hardware for spacecraft.
- Create and manage technical documentation.
- Maintain databases related to thermal engineering.
- Monitor component fabrication progress with Manufacturing and Production.
- Oversee component integration with the integration and test group.
- Compile comprehensive parts lists from various sources.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 1-2 years of experience.
- Experience in thermal design of satellite components and validation through testing.
- Proficiency with thermal simulation tools and CAD software (Solidworks, CREO, AutoCAD).
- Basic knowledge of MATLAB/Python.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with spacecraft integration and testing.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required for compliance with ITAR.
