Responsibilities
- Design and develop specialized tools, jigs, and fixtures for aerospace components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to understand manufacturing requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies for tooling solutions to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Create detailed tool designs using CAD software, including 3D models and specifications.
- Liaise with suppliers to select and procure tooling components.
- Support manufacturing teams with the implementation of specialized tools.
- Stay updated with advancements in tool design and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in tool design engineering, preferably in aerospace.
- Strong knowledge of tool design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in NX for tool design and modeling.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in tool design and manufacturing activities.
