Summer 2026: Mechanical Engineering Intern, Shark (May to August)

The Mechanical Engineering Intern at SharkNinja will work alongside engineers to develop innovative consumer products, gaining hands-on experience throughout the product lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, and refining designs.

• Contribute to the concepting and development of next-gen Shark products.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to explore innovative solutions.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes and lab rigs.
• Analyze data from testing and consumer feedback to inform design decisions.
• Participate in technical deep-dives and design reviews.
• Take ownership of engineering tasks with increasing complexity.
• Support design feasibility analysis, CAD modeling, and technical documentation.

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering/physics fundamentals.
• Solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to engage in hands-on development and testing.
• Exposure to CAD programs and 3D printing/laser cutting.
• Familiarity with electronics and basic machine shop tools.
