Responsibilities
- Support the development of sustainable consumer products by identifying lower impact opportunities.
- Investigate and identify technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development teams to enhance understanding of environmental performance.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and problem-solving with team members from various disciplines.
- Guide co-ops and interns in their projects.
- Assist in bringing products to market with reduced carbon footprints.
- Conduct controlled experiments and testing in a laboratory setting.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of related experience in design and development.
- Ability to incorporate energy efficiency technologies into innovative products.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in CAD software (Solidworks or CREO) and data analysis tools (Excel, Python, Matlab).
- Experience with laboratory testing and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of global eco legislation for consumer products.
