Responsibilities
- Generate new product concepts emphasizing ergonomics, aesthetics, and functional innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet functional requirements and enhance user experience.
- Lead design studies to address technical and user-experience challenges.
- Build and test low-fidelity prototypes and analyze user testing results.
- Approach design challenges with curiosity and a drive for innovation.
- Communicate ideas effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on broader design objectives.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Passion for user-centered product design and functionality.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Rhino) and basic prototyping tools.
- Hands-on experience building prototypes from various materials and familiarity with machine shop equipment.
- Basic understanding of electronics used in small appliances is desirable.
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools like Arduino or Raspberry Pi is a plus.
- Strong foundation in industrial design principles and mechanical engineering.
