Responsibilities

  • Own & drive the development of electrical architecture, design, prototyping, and development of hardware systems (MCU/SOC/FPGA, battery, sensing, RF, Audio).
  • Contribute to hardware process and tool flow definition, hardware vendor engagement, and management.
  • Serve as a domain expert in areas of electrical design such as audio, DSP, battery, RF, or sensing.
  • Define hardware roadmaps, architectures, trade-offs, specifications, development plans, and evaluation methods for wearable electronics.
  • Conduct hands-on PCBA design and bring-up: component selection, schematic, layout, assembly, bring-up, test/debug, and integration into larger systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, UX, and machine learning partners to define, evaluate, and optimize hardware systems.
  • Identify, evaluate, engage, and drive partners and vendors to accelerate hardware development.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience owning and delivering complex EE designs.
  • 5+ years of experience leading complex projects encompassing computing, electrical systems, sensors, power, mechanical, and firmware.
  • Strong fundamental EE skills across analog & digital domains, PCB design, and simulation tools.
  • Familiar with firmware development and comfortable with independent basic bring-up and debug code.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and shipping a wearable product with challenging power and form factor constraints.
