Mechanical Design Engineer

The Mechanical Design Engineer will provide mechanical design support for product development, new product introduction (NPI), and manufacturing of optical product families, focusing on high-speed optical modules and their packaging.

• Physical design, thermal management, and packaging of high-speed optical modules.
• Mechanical housing subassembly design and module integration, including PCB packaging.
• Design for manufacturability, assembly, and testing to ensure product viability.
• Conduct design verification through prototyping and device testing.
• Define and design tooling and fixturing requirements for production.
• Engage suppliers to support prototyping and high-volume production.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet design specifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in product development focused on transceiver design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks and FEA tools like Solidworks/Ansys.
• Experience designing RF/Microwave/Optical packages and multi-chip modules.
• Familiarity with optical and microelectronic technologies and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA) is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
