Intern, Firmware Engineer - PFD

The role is for a Firmware Engineering Intern who will support the Product Firmware Development team, focusing on SSD firmware and related tools. The intern will gain experience in firmware development, testing, and lifecycle management.

• Support the implementation of firmware development workflows and release lifecycle management processes
• Develop test cases and update a tool for actual product development
• Triage and root cause system, driver, and device interoperability issues
• Develop and debug firmware and software for SSD products
• Debug, optimize, and validate/test SSD firmware on embedded multi-core architectures
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned

• Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or software-focused Electrical Engineering
• Must have at least 1 academic quarter/semester remaining
• Familiarity with firmware development concepts and embedded systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of C/C++ development for embedded systems is desirable
• Knowledge or experience with ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures is desirable
