Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and operations teams to ensure a top-tier product experience.
- Design reliability into the product development process and manage reliability modeling, testing, and validation.
- Set reliability requirements and allocate targets to subsystems.
- Lead investigations into product quality and root causes with internal teams and external vendors.
- Evaluate defect trends to improve material quality and outgoing products.
- Identify corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities through field failure investigations.
- Create feedback loops for ongoing product enhancement and future generations.
Job Requirements
- MSc/PhD in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with various testing methodologies (stress, fatigue, vibration, etc.).
- Knowledge of failure analysis and the physics of failure.
- Familiarity with Design for Reliability concepts.
- Experience with hardware reliability tests and third-party oversight.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
