Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical engineering team, assigning work and providing technical support.
- Define and enforce mechanical engineering quality standards and documentation practices.
- Run mechanical design reviews to ensure designs meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Translate product requirements into mechanical design plans and schedules.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams for smooth integration.
- Mentor and develop mechanical engineering talent within the team.
- Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in designing complex mechanical systems; 3+ years in leadership.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and mechanical design fundamentals.
- Experience designing hardware for harsh environments (maritime, aerospace, etc.).
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies and related components.
- Hands-on experience in design, build, and test cycles.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
