Responsibilities
- Work closely with a mentor and department employees to apply knowledge and grow skills.
- Collaborate with professionals to solve real engineering challenges.
- Attend 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates.
- Participate in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
- Conduct thermal simulations and engage with spacecraft subsystems for thermal control.
- Install and operate hardware in the clean room.
- Support mission proposals through flight operations.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math.
- At least one semester of school remaining post-internship.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work in high-performing teams.
- Strong leadership skills for development projects.
- Experience in thermal engineering, CAD/CAM, and FEA is a plus.
