Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on design requirements to achieve function at minimum cost.
- Develop should cost models for vehicle commodities specializing in electrical content.
- Gather data to estimate production costs, including raw materials and labor.
- Interface with manufacturing plants and suppliers for economical operations.
- Support procurement in analyzing supplier cost breakdowns for cost reduction.
- Mentor procurement team members on manufacturing and process costs.
- Perform Value Analysis / Value Engineering activities for cost reduction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or business fields.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in OEM or related industries.
- Proven experience in manufacturing processes for cost model development.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly CATIA.
- Knowledge of Value Analysis / Value Engineering techniques.
- Ability to create a Bill of Materials (BoM) and allocate costs.
- Strong collaborative and strategic thinking skills.
