Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release exterior components such as fascias and trims.
- Apply expertise in various manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the studio team to ensure high-quality designs.
- Utilize first principle driven design for optimal product development.
- Create CAD concepts and detailed designs during development.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and manage project timelines and costs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 6 years of experience in exterior component design.
- Proficiency in Catia v5/v6.
- 4+ years in automotive exterior mechanisms.
- Strong supplier management skills.
- Experience in generating 3D geometry and sectional data.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
