Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release exterior components such as claddings and underbody panels.
- Apply knowledge of various manufacturing processes like injection molding and overmolding.
- Collaborate with the studio team to ensure designs meet DFM requirements.
- Utilize first principle driven design for optimal product outcomes.
- Communicate with cross-functional groups to manage parts and processes.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and lead the design team.
- Create CAD concepts and detailed design documentation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in exterior component design and release.
- Proficiency in Catia v5/v6.
- Experience in automotive exterior mechanisms from concept to production.
- Proven supplier management skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Desire to improve processes and achieve high customer satisfaction.
