Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release exterior components such as claddings and underbody panels.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes including various molding techniques.
- Collaborate with the studio team to create high-quality A-surfaces meeting DFM requirements.
- Utilize first principle driven design for optimal product development.
- Communicate and manage multiple parts, changes, and processes effectively.
- Mentor less experienced Design & Release Engineers to elevate team performance.
- Create CAD concepts and detailed 2D/3D designs during development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in exterior component design and release.
- Proficiency in Catia v5 / v6.
- Experience in automotive exterior mechanisms from concept to production.
- Proven supplier management skills.
- Ability to generate 3D geometry and sectional data.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
