Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and model plastic molded components including Fascia’s, Claddings, and Pillar Trims.
- Utilize Catia V6/3D Experience for high-quality 3D parametric data development.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding and compression molding.
- Create high-quality 2D drawings and LD files in collaboration with DRE’s.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CAD meets system requirements.
- Provide feedback to the studio team to generate A-surfaces that fulfill DFM requirements.
- Develop various CAD concepts, detailed 2D sections, and concept 3D CAD during initial development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
- 4 years of experience in exterior component design and release.
- Proficiency in Catia v5/v6 with demonstrated technical competence.
- Experience in automotive exterior mechanisms from concept to production.
- Proven supplier management skills with build-to-print and full-service suppliers.
- Ability to generate 3D geometry and sectional data.
- Strong logical reasoning, organizational, and communication skills.
