Responsibilities
- Act as the Chief Engineer for electrical-mechanical components, ensuring technical and product excellence.
- Support and develop Proof of Concept work for program success.
- Lead complete life-cycle development of electronics and interface with various design teams.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to optimize overall performance and costs.
- Lead development processes including PDRs, CDRs, DFMEA, and functional safety analysis.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Integrate components into subsystems and maintain component-level DVPRs.
Job Requirements
- BS+ in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related engineering degree; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in vehicle level component programs.
- Strong knowledge of supplier processes and manufacturing standards.
- Good understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals and electro-mechanical background.
- Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and automotive hardware/software development processes.
- Understanding of PLM and component release cycles.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
