Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical-mechanical components.
- Support proof of concept work for program success.
- Manage the complete life-cycle development of electronics and interface with design teams.
- Optimize solutions for vehicle performance and cost.
- Develop PDRs and CDRs, and conduct DFMEA and functional safety analysis.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality to ensure timely delivery of components.
- Integrate components into subsystems and overall vehicle systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in vehicle level component programs.
- Strong knowledge of supplier processes and manufacturing standards.
- Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and automotive hardware/software development.
- Experience with Tier 1 suppliers to deliver products on time and within budget.
- Familiarity with PLM and component release cycles.
- Knowledge of ISO26262 development processes and vehicle electrical systems.
