Responsibilities
- Design and develop vessel subsystems including structures, controls, power systems, and fluid systems.
- Oversee integration, activation, and certification efforts at shipyard and home port locations.
- Lead system checkouts for vessel power and dynamic systems; support troubleshooting during flight campaigns.
- Develop system documentation including regulatory submissions and operations manuals.
- Provide engineering support for offshore programs, including vehicle transport logistics.
- Manage engineering tasks, including budgets and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with marine engineering standards and regulatory frameworks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related STEM discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine systems engineering.
- Knowledge of marine engineering standards and core engineering principles.
- Ability and willingness to travel for vessel construction and support.
- Experience managing engineering tasks and project components.
- Familiarity with high-pressure gas systems, high-power electrical systems, or cryogenics (nice to have).
- Experience with the United States Coast Guard and/or the American Bureau of Shipping (nice to have).
