Responsibilities
- Develop loads for all hardware on the Terran R from concept to data review.
- Assist in maturing hardware designs through understanding of mechanical structures.
- Build, validate, and document finite-element and statistical energy models for load predictions.
- Develop random vibration and shock specifications for hardware qualification.
- Conduct signal processing to inform component loads and specifications.
- Collaborate with partner teams for complex events like liftoff and touchdown.
- Engage in hands-on work with hardware and operations to drive programmatic change.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated interest in system dynamics, vibration, acoustics, or similar.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar for engineering analysis.
- Graduate degree in Engineering or related field (nice to have).
- Experience with high-speed or modal data acquisition & signal processing (nice to have).
- Familiarity with NASTRAN, VA One, or Wave6 (nice to have).
- Experience with Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) or Multibody Dynamics (MBD) (nice to have).
