Responsibilities
- Develop loads from initial concept to data review for all hardware on Terran R.
- Mature hardware designs through understanding of mechanical structures and effective communication.
- Build, validate, and document finite-element and statistical energy models for load predictions.
- Develop random vibration and shock specifications for hardware qualification.
- Perform quick-look and deep-dive signal processing for component loads.
- Collaborate with partner teams to deliver inputs for complex events like liftoff and touchdown.
Job Requirements
- Undergrad degree in Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated interest in system dynamics, vibration, acoustics, or similar.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar for engineering analysis.
- Graduate degree in Engineering or related field (nice to have).
- Experience with high-speed/modal data acquisition and signal processing (nice to have).
- Familiarity with NASTRAN, VA One, or Wave6 (nice to have).
- Experience with liquid rocket engines or launch vehicle analysis (nice to have).
