Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical designs in various disciplines including sheet metal and plastic injection molding.
- Provide design concepts with analytical justification and perform detailed mechanical designs.
- Apply theoretical calculations for structural analysis, thermodynamics, and fluid flow.
- Guide junior engineering and drafting/CAD staff.
- Develop estimates for engineering hours with senior staff.
- Create designs and documentation for production packages.
- Identify and initiate process improvements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 0 - 2 years of relevant mechanical design/test experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D solid modeling CAD tools.
- Experience with FEA simulations and validation of results.
- Solid working knowledge of machine shop and drafting practices.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
