Propulsion Analyst Intern Summer 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support the Neutron Propulsion team in FEA modeling and analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members to apply engineering concepts to real challenges.
  • Attend 1:1 meetings with mentors for guidance and progress updates.
  • Participate in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
  • Work on designing and testing rocket structures and components.
  • Assist in the setup of launch pads and test sites for the Neutron rocket.
  • Contribute to the development of the Archimedes engines.

Job Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an engineering, physics, or math degree program with at least one semester remaining.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0; 3.5 or above preferred.
  • At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
  • Proficient in software such as Python, ANYS, Siemens NX, Matlab, or Solidworks.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys working in high-performing teams.
