Responsibilities
- Develop preliminary and detailed design concepts for solar PV systems.
- Provide support and documentation to Estimating, Business Development & Proposal teams.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize design concepts for solar PV systems.
- Use electrical engineering calculation tools and software for project design.
- Maintain a database for equipment related to solar PV design.
- Analyze past project data for material forecasting on future projects.
- Ensure effective communication and workflow processes between teams.
Job Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 5 years of field experience.
- 2 years of experience in Utility Solar PV Design or construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, PVsyst, SAM, ETAP, CYMCAP, PVSOL, and Python.
- Understanding of solar PV project components like modules and inverters.
- Ability to create engineered solar PV site plans and single line drawings.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain a positive attitude under stress.
