Head of Hardware

The Head of Hardware at Peak Energy will lead all aspects of hardware development for the energy storage system (ESS) platform, overseeing system design and integration across multiple engineering domains, ensuring product safety, reliability, and scalability.

• Act as technical lead for Peak's products.
• Lead system design and integration across various engineering domains.
• Define and maintain system-level requirements for hardware components.
• Own system modeling and engineering for high-performance product design.
• Oversee design-for-manufacturability and collaborate with supply chain partners.
• Own validation testing for mechanical reliability and safety compliance.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary hardware team.

• 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, with 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in delivering high voltage and high power systems.
• Expertise in electrical and mechanical/structural design, and thermal management.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and hands-on prototyping.
• Strong understanding of compliance and safety requirements for ESS hardware.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
