Responsibilities
- Carry out engineering assignments related to mechanical equipment and processes.
- Monitor production, installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment.
- Assist with CAD work, design, analysis, and hardware integration/testing.
- Revise and create process plans and standard work documentation.
- Collaborate with the engineering department on ongoing programs.
- Utilize strong computer and writing skills for reports and documentation.
- Engage in hands-on tasks and work effectively in a team setting.
Job Requirements
- Current enrollment in a BS degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of two years of Mechanical Engineering courses; three years preferred.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Experience with Solidworks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and technical documents.
- Understanding of military specifications and ASME standards is a plus.
- Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and full-time during the summer.
