Responsibilities

  • Carry out engineering assignments related to mechanical equipment and processes.
  • Monitor production, installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment.
  • Assist with CAD work, design, analysis, and hardware integration/testing.
  • Revise and create process plans and standard work documentation.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department on ongoing programs.
  • Utilize strong computer and writing skills for reports and documentation.
  • Engage in hands-on tasks and work effectively in a team setting.

Job Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a BS degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Completion of two years of Mechanical Engineering courses; three years preferred.
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Experience with Solidworks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and technical documents.
  • Understanding of military specifications and ASME standards is a plus.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and full-time during the summer.
