Responsibilities
- Assist with design and development of complex electro-mechanical components and sub-systems for aerospace/defense.
- Assist with conceptual layout/mechanical configuration of rotating machinery and complex machined sub-components.
- Generate component and assembly drawings using GD&T.
- Perform basic structural and thermal analysis to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist with assembling prototype products and test stands using standard tools and equipment.
- Provide field support to customers as needed.
- Collaborate and work independently under time constraints.
Job Requirements
- BSME or equivalent with 0-3 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Understanding of military specifications and ASME Y14.5 standard.
- CAD knowledge, particularly in Solidworks, AutoCad, and ProE.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and calculations.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and work with abstract variables.
- Proficiency in applying advanced mathematical concepts.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions, with occasional travel required.
