Responsibilities
- Develop complex piezoelectric sensors by studying product requirements.
- Research, design, analyze, modify, and test piezoelectric materials using specialized test equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements and documentation are met.
- Prepare written and graphical documentation for communication of design and requirements.
- Assure product and process quality by adhering to company best practices.
- Perform or oversee qualification testing, including vibration, shock, and temperature testing.
- Determine root causes of failure using statistical methods.
Job Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of experience in designing mechanical components and applying ASME Y14.5M.
- Knowledge of drawing and drafting standards, thermodynamics, and mechanical design.
- Experience in military or aerospace equipment development is a plus.
- Understanding of military specifications and test specifications is advantageous.
- Hands-on test and hardware experience is desired.
