Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks utilizing technical expertise and sound judgment.
- Design and develop new fiber optic connectivity and structured cabling products.
- Conduct research and analysis to enhance existing designs and develop new products.
- Develop project plans and manage projects according to schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement products and ensure specifications are met.
- Create and analyze technical documentation, including engineering drawings and test plans.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing to validate design performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in engineering with a focus on product development and NPI.
- Strong understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D parametric CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and project management abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to validate design concepts through analysis.
- Familiarity with fiber optic principles and technologies is desirable.
