Responsibilities
- Coordinate the shipment of flame and heat-release samples to various test facilities.
- Evaluate data for variability across labs and analyze flammability performance.
- Understand and apply basic fluid-flow behavior principles.
- Collect and enter test results into Jama.
- Generate automated flammability statements and BOM outputs.
- Gain exposure to FAA certification processes in the aerospace industry.
- Learn to interpret cross-facility test variability and apply fluid-flow concepts to material behavior.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a junior/senior undergraduate or graduate student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Relevant coursework in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, combustion, and data analysis.
- Skills in Python or MATLAB and experience with Jama for data automation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compare results across labs.
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week.
- Authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without sponsorship.
