Responsibilities
- Support updating meter/meter accessories specifications, engineering, maintenance, and construction standards, and work procedures.
- Provide support for training materials to field metering personnel and third-party contractors.
- Prepare or support equipment failure investigations, equipment failure analyses, and reliability studies.
- Provide support for new meter/meter accessories review, testing, and certification.
- Communicate non-comm solutions to the field metering team and follow up to completion.
- Assess and develop reports that would help monitor and track progress with vendor BPTM installation.
- Organize Smart Meter Program folders on SharePoint.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field at an accredited University.
- Students must be continuing their education towards their degree during and/or after the internship.
- EIT or FE certification is desired.
- 3.0 GPA or greater in both cumulative GPA and major GPA.
- Engineering experience in utilities, municipalities, construction, or engineering consultation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
