Responsibilities
- Recommend and approve changes in construction drawings or specifications.
- Solve simple and complex engineering problems.
- Layout construction plans.
- Direct the activities of employees or crews on job assignments requiring construction engineering expertise.
- Audit work under construction for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Develop project timelines and milestones; perform scheduling and forecasting.
- Inspect and monitor the work of contractors to assure compliance with specifications and plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or 2 years of experience with supplemental education.
- Valid California Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, extended hours, nights, weekends, and/or overtime.
- Construction or surveying experience is desired.
- Previous experience with SAP, scheduling, and electric construction field experience is preferred.
- Strong math and computer skills, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Office.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate is a plus.
