Responsibilities
- Design special tooling, machine tools, patterns, and jigs.
- Draft plans, prints, and drawings for manufacturing.
- Research and specify construction materials and procedures.
- Communicate project status and needs to various stakeholders.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend design modifications.
- Collaborate with repair, machine, and weld shops, as well as field service staff.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and a clean work environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of related experience or equivalent education.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Works CAD software.
- Knowledge of design techniques and quality control practices.
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform design calculations and project management tasks.
- Some electrical knowledge preferred.
