The Electrical Technician - Propulsion role at Odys involves building and maintaining electrical systems for sustainable aircraft, focusing on propulsion, avionics, and flight-control systems.
Responsibilities
- Build, route, and terminate low- and high-voltage wiring harnesses and cable assemblies.
- Fabricate and populate PCBs, breakout boxes, and test fixtures; perform rework and replacements to IPC standards.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain sensors and data-acquisition hardware on test stands and prototype aircraft.
- Execute tests and diagnose faults using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate power electronics into propulsion testbeds.
- Document procedures, wiring diagrams, and inspection results.
- Support environmental and EMI/EMC test campaigns and troubleshoot during testing.
Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Skill in crimping, soldering, and connector termination.
- Familiarity with IPC/WHMA workmanship standards.
- Knowledge of wiring practices and grounding techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
