Responsibilities
- Lead a research team to develop advanced lithium-ion batteries for next-generation XR devices, from concept to prototype.
- Define a lithium-ion battery research roadmap and drive execution with leading research and manufacturing partners.
- Transfer promising technologies from Research to Product.
- Support NTI and NPI projects.
- Manage a battery research laboratory.
- Coordinate capital project planning, execution, and lab safety.
- Develop electrochemical models of Li-ion batteries and cell components, using simulation to inform research roadmap and guide project execution.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree or equivalent experience in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical, Material, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3+ years of industry experience in project leadership for battery development.
- 5+ years of industry experience in battery development for EV or consumer electronics devices.
- 5+ years of industry experience in developing physics-based battery models for consumer electronics or electric vehicles.
- 5+ years of experience designing and executing experiments for model parameterization and validation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in leadership and project management.
