Responsibilities
- Contribute to mechanical solutions as part of a highly cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to product shipping.
- Collaborate and manage work with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problems.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
- Engage in design for manufacturability and assembly.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and tolerance analysis.
- Working knowledge of material properties and manufacturing techniques.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- 2+ years of product design and development experience in consumer electronics.
- Preferred MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with NX CAD and designing for human factors.
