Responsibilities
- Perform static, dynamic, and DaDT structural analyses of airframe structures and mechanical systems.
- Ensure designs meet program requirements and are optimized for weight, cost, and quality.
- Derive non-flight applied loads and perform weight and stiffness optimization using software tools.
- Collaborate in a team environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Utilize approved automated methods and procedures for structural analysis.
- May be filled as either a Structural Engineer (level 2) or Principal Structural Engineer (level 3) based on qualifications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with relevant experience in aerospace structural analysis.
- For Principal Engineer position, a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance.
- Preferred experience in airframe, crew systems, subsystems, or structural integrity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team setting.
- Proficiency in tools such as FEMAP, NX, and Teamcenter.
- Background in aerospace structural analysis is essential.
