Responsibilities
- Design primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies using metallic and composite materials.
- Lead and prepare engineering design solutions in collaboration with IPT and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with various teams to produce flight weight structures.
- Utilize GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods for airframe layouts.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and document best practices.
- Interface with suppliers, customers, and program leadership.
- Conduct trade studies and lead design efforts for aircraft modifications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, or a Master’s with 10 years, or a PhD with 8 years.
- Experience in designing composite aircraft parts and installations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in NX Solid Modelling or similar software.
- Understanding of GD&T and Model Based Engineering methods.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
