Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and tooling with a team of mechanics and engineers.
- Evaluate existing manufacturing systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
- Optimize production area layouts and manage bills of materials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement new capital equipment.
- Provide technical support to test facility operations and support acceptance testing.
- Potentially oversee multiple production shifts based on schedules.
- Create detailed work instructions and process procedures with an emphasis on safety.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related STEM discipline or a Master's with relevant experience.
- Experience with mechanical assembly processes, welding, and machining.
- Proficiency in root cause problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Must obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen.
- Preferred experience with SAP, MES, and aerospace or defense products.
